One of the greatest things about Amy and Gary is their love for the city of New Orleans.  During our first phone conversation, I could feel the excitement about being able to host their event in this great city.  Throughout planning, they took great care to choose a menu, decor and overall atmostphere that reflected the city as well. They are two of the kindest and most naturally generous people and you could see that not only through relationships with their family and friends on their wedding day, but the care they took with their wedding vendors.

Their celebration took place just a few weeks before Christmas and Amy was initially inspired by the holiday decor that would already be present throughout the city.  Sam Gregory did an amazing job capturing Amy's spirit and attention to detail.

When Amy was asked what her favorite part of the event was she replied "It was magical riding in a carriage down Bourbon Street going to meet my groom. I honestly felt like a Mardi Gras Queen!!! The time I spent with Gary walking through the French Quarter was the most memorable part of my day. It was so Romantic. I must say, exchanging vows on the balcony at Muriel's was surreal."

Amy's bouquet and flowers were done by NOLA Flora and they were absolutely stunning variations of red flowers with pops of BLING!

Gary and Amy's ceremony took place on the balcony at Muriel's.  It created an amazing backdrop of Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral in the background.

Following the ceremony, everyone moved in for cocktails and an amazing Muriel's dinner.

Each guest was given a custom Fleur De Lis ornament as a small favor.

One of the groom's, well really the entire family's, favorites is King Cake! So Gambino's Bakery created a tiered King Cake in addition to the BLINGED OUT wedding cake!

And what would a New Orleans wedding be without a traditional 2nd line?

And I just couldn't end this blog, without a few special shots of the bride.  She was stunningly put together by Kelly from the Get Polished Beauty team and you can tell she just loved this day!  The carriage photo below just sums her up!  She was amazing!

Amy would like to leave other brides in the planning process with this advice: "Prioritize your budget!!!! You may have to omit a few things to give your guests the ultimate experience!!!! Research your vendors!!!!! If certain things are important to you, splurge!!! Having a wedding planner is key!!! It made the whole process go smoothly. I cannot imagine doing a wedding without one!!!"

Saundra - I am having my reception at Muriel's. I was going to do a courthouse ceremony, but this totally inspired me to have a ceremony at Muriel's on the balcony. What a great idea.
Kristin - This was, by far, the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. They are the kindest couple and I know how happy they were with all of their vendors. Thank you to all of them who made the day special for everyone. New Orleans was the perfect place for these two to commit their lives to each other.
